Edith Reeves was posthumously awarded the 2023 Haskins award for her many years of service at St. Thomas Episcopal Church. Edith was the administrator for St. Thomas for more than 20 years. The award was given to her husband Darryl Reeves.

The Haskins Award is given in honor of Eleanor Haskins a former Parishioner who was the first woman Senior Warden in the Diocese of Charleston. Mrs. Haskins also started and operated Holy Spirit pre-school in Hanahan for over 30 years. Holy Spirit pre-school was a ministry of St. Thomas Episcopal Church. This award represents a member/members that show dedication, creativity, and commitment to God and St. Thomas.
