"Come, you who have been blessed by my Father! Inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world"
On Wednesday, June 17, 2015, the most unimaginable and senseless act of violence, hatred and evil occurred in Charleston SC. Nine Christians having bible study at Emanuel AME Church were shot and killed.  The goal of this web page is to honor them as fellow Christians, offer pastoral messages, and give you resources to help the victims and their families.  Certainly, it will not be possible to put every internet posting on this page.  But, hopefully this page in some small way will help you find comfort.

       Prayer of St. Francis
Lord, make us instruments of your peace. Where there is hatred, let us sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where there is discord, union; where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; where there is sadness, joy. Grant that we may not so much seek to be consoled as to console; to be understood as to understand; to be loved as to love. For it is in giving that we receive; it is in pardoning that we are pardoned; and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life. Amen.

Prayer For Bereavement
Grant, O Lord, to all who are bereaved the spirit of faith and courage, that they may meet the days ahead with steadfastness and patience; not sorrowing as those without hope, but in thankful remembrance of your great goodness, and in joyful expectation of eternal life with those they love. All this we ask in the name of Jesus Christ, our Redeemer. Amen.
